RoofShake 40 shingles are laminated to provide a remarkable dimensional thickness, not only for strength, durability, and weather resistance, but also to create an extraordinarily beautiful look for your home. Its double layer construction, using an extra-heavy fiberglass mat and tough modified sealant, provides superior durability and wind resistance. RoofShake 40 carries a limited 40-year warranty.
This heavyweight, laminated shingle is composed of a dimensionally stable non-woven glass fiber mat, which is thoroughly impregnated with stabilized waterproofing bitumen. RoofShake 40 is distinguished by its random shake-look design, unique dual band shadow coloration, and superior thermally activated shingle sealant. Colored, ceramic granules surface the top of both layers of this shingle to protect the asphalt from ultraviolet radiation. Each shingle has release tape and mineral powder applied to the underside, thus preventing any sticking in the bundle.

Proper Installation is Critical.
Apply eave protection as per building code requirements, overhanging eaves by 1/4" to 3/8" and extending up the roof at least 12" beyond the interior wall line. Ice & Water Protector is recommended for best performance, applied according to instructions
